Audiology

Breanna Reed, BS

Throughout my education, I have had many opportunities to work with children with disabilities such as Down's Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder. During this time, I developed a passion for working with children with developmental disabilities. My goal is to work as a pediatric audiologist where I have the opportunity to interact with children with developmental disabilities. The AZLEND Training Program can provide me with the skills and knowledge to benefit each individual patient as well as the community.

Benjamin Smith, AuD

The AZLEND program will expand my knowledge of neurodevelopmental disabilities which in turn will allow me to provide comprehensive hearing services for individuals with developmental disabilities. It is important for me to gain in-depth understanding of how allied professionals in other disciplines manage clients with developmental challenges and how audiologists can work with and refer to other professions in order to provide clients and their families with meaningful treatment.

Kathryn Hope, AuD

My clinical experience in audiology has led to an interest in pediatrics and as a pediatric audiologist I will provide care to children and adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorders. The University of Arizona LEND program will provide me with the training and education necessary to serve this population. I am an extern at the Caliber Center for Communication Disorders at The University of Texas at Dallas.
