My motivations for learning and to serve tribal communities in areas of Special Education, Behavioral Health Sciences, Addictions/Therapeutic Treatment Modalities, and service duty within local Indigenous organizations. The Maternal & Child Healthcare and Neurodevelopmental disabilities will enhance a leadership action plan in the improvement of service within diverse indigenous nations for women, children and family support systems. ArizonaLEND seminar lecture series is a highly beneficial learning experience of professional leadership.
Curby Sickmon
Curby graduated from the University of Arizona in May of 2017 with a degree in Special Education and began working at a school for gifted children called Accelerated Learning Laboratory in January 2018. Curby suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and was in a coma in November 2006. He has been the subject for the TBI section of this program for over 5 years. He also is a speaking panel member at the UA Disabilities Interprofessional Conference. After finally graduating and getting a bachelors degree from the UA he has been accepted into the ArizonaLEND program.

For the past 13 years, I have worked in the public school system as an early intervention teacher and CIP non-violent crisis intervention trainer.
I earned a BS from the University of Arizona in 2005 and a M.ED from Northern Arizona University in 2013 focusing of education leadership. I am so excited to be part of AZLEND. I am looking forward to expanding my leadership skills and learning more about public policy directed at assisting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and their families.
Sara Zsenai
Sara Zsenai has been a Special Education Preschool Teacher for five years, and enjoys working for Flagstaff Unified School District. She received her BS in Elementary and Special Education with a certificate in Early Childhood Education from Northern Arizona University in 2009 and continued her education with a M.ED in Early Childhood Special Education from Northern Arizona University in 2011.

My interests in this program are for me to gain leadership and conflict resolution skills. Also, I would like to be able to understand different perspectives of different professionals across various disciplines (professions), as this will assist me to become a better professional myself. I hope to use my experiences to guide me in this program as well as to learn from new experiences as this will also strengthen me as a professional.
