Sarah Broughton

Sarah Broughton is a third-year audiology doctoral student and rehabilitation counseling minor at the University of Arizona. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Art in Communication Disorders and minors in Deaf Studies and International Relations from the State University of New York at New Paltz. During the course of her graduate education, she has developed a passion for aural rehabilitation as well as pediatric and educational audiology. She currently is one of the program assistants for the Protect Your Ears Program, which focuses on educating children in after-school programs about the importance of protecting their hearing. In addition, Sarah is the programming assistant for the Living Well with Hearing Loss program, which is a group aural rehabilitation group that provides communication and coping strategies for hearing loss to individuals with hearing loss and their family members.  As an ArizonaLEND fellow, she hopes to improve her leadership skills and gain multidisciplinary knowledge that will help her provide the best care possible for her future patients.
