Morgan Kern is a master’s student in the speech-language pathology program at the University of Arizona. She is completing the Bilingual Certificate Program as part of her master’s degree and is passionate about providing culturally competent services to bilingual children and their families. Morgan previously attended Brigham Young University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders with a minor in Spanish.
Clinically, Morgan has held placements at the Grunewald-Blitz Clinic for Communication Disorders in Children, Speech Center of Southern Arizona, Manzo Elementary School, and Encompass Health Rehabilitation Institute. She has provided speech-language therapy in both English and Spanish for children with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, speech sound disorders, and developmental language disorders. Upon completion of her graduate work, Morgan intends to work as a speech-language pathologist in the elementary school setting.
