Working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families both in the school and clinical setting, I have learned first hand the value of an interdisciplinary team to successful programming and treatment. It is exciting to be part of a program for which an interdisciplinary approach is a core value. As I consider a personal transition away from clinical practice, AZLEND appears to be a unique and stimulating opportunity to connect with community resources and to learn about and engage in, research, leadership, and policy directed toward assisting individuals and families, and enhancing the quality of life in our community.
