The University of Arizona LEND program interests me because it will introduce me to new knowledge and ways of thinking from other professions to better equip me to provide a more comprehensive and valuable service to families and their communities. My professional goal is to use my clinical background as an occupational therapist to work with reserachers in developing and implementing clinically relevant studies with results that provide information that can be applied directly to the daily lives of families. I would like to help create or expand play-based, developmental enrichment programs within the community to include families having children with special health care needs.
