I am interested in pursuing a fellowship in developmental and behavioral pediatrics. My goal in participating in the AZLEND program is to broaden my knowledge related to health promotion enhancing quality of life in children with disabilities. I am interested in the interdisciplinary focus of the AZLEND program. In pediatrics, we work with a variety of therapists, but because of limited exposure, I have yet to develop a strong understanding of their fields. My current and future clinical practice would greatly benefit from increased exposure to other health professions that I work with; to better understand their field; and, to more effectively work in an interdisciplinary fashion to better serve my future patients.
